Sumitomo Riko aims for activities in which each and every employee participates. By supporting the volunteer activities of our employees, we are creating a system in which they are valued by society and in which they can gain their own pleasure.

Sumitomo Riko Attaka Club
The “Sumitomo Riko Attaka Club” is a volunteer organization consisting of employees of the Sumitomo Riko Group. Throughout the year, the club participates in voluntary projects and those of external organizations, and also conducts volunteer activities for civic groups and other organizations.
As an information system to support volunteer activities, the “Social Good Activity Matching Site” has been established on the company website. The website lists volunteer activities planned by the company, clubs, and outside information-providing organizations, and matches them with employees.

General Incorporated Foundation “The Sumitomo Riko Attaka Fund”
The "Sumitomo Riko Attaka Fund" is a fund that supports employees' charitable giving. It is open to directly employed staff at Sumitomo Riko, Tokai Chemical Industries, SumiRiko Creates, SumiRiko Oita AE, SumiRiko Kyushu and Tokai Chemical Kyushu.
Employees registered with the fund can make donations via payroll deduction in increments of 100 yen, up to a maximum of 10 units. The "Sumitomo Riko Attaka Fund" is financed through these employee contributions, combined with an equal matching contribution from the company. Through the "Sumitomo Riko Attaka Club," this fund supports organizations addressing social issues and provides aid for disaster-related humanitarian relief, having backed a wide range of projects and activities to date.
Since fiscal year 2021, the fund has also been utilized for the "Dream, Town, and People-Building Grant" program, which supports organizations working to resolve social issues in the communities where Sumitomo Riko Group bases are located.
The fund was incorporated as a general incorporated foundation in November 2014.

Participation in the TABLE FOR TWO (TFT) Program
When employees choose low-calorie menu options in the company cafeteria—designed to help prevent obesity and lifestyle-related diseases—a donation of 20 yen per meal is made via TFT* to provide school lunches for children in developing countries.
This system operates on the principle that for every meal consumed in a developed country, a meal is donated to a developing country.
Sumitomo Riko endorsed this initiative and launched the program at its Komaki Plant in 2015 as part of its employees' social contribution activities. The initiative was subsequently expanded to the Matsusaka Plant and the Fuji-Susono Plant, covering cafeterias at all three bases. Although the program at the Fuji-Susono Plant concluded due to the facility's scheduled closure in fiscal year 2025, it continues at the Komaki and Matsusaka plants, serving as an activity that simultaneously promotes employee health and contributes to society.
To date, a total of 11,256,380 yen and 62,819 meals have been provided (as of March 2026).

Participation in Onigiri (rice ball) Action
Since the 2024 fiscal year, Sumitomo Riko has sponsored the "Onigiri Action" campaign and has held internal events to support this initiative.
"Onigiri Action" is a campaign where posting a photo of an *onigiri* (rice ball) to social media or a dedicated website triggers a donation (100 yen)—equivalent to the cost of five school meals—from sponsoring companies; these funds are then used through the organization TABLE FOR TWO to provide school meals to children in Africa and Asia. To mark World Food Day (October 16), we held our first *onigiri* (rice ball) photo event at the Komaki Plant in fiscal year 2024. In fiscal year 2025, we expanded this initiative to the Matsusaka Plant, creating opportunities for even more employees to easily participate in social contribution activities.
Through these efforts, we collected a total of 191 photos (representing 955 meals) in fiscal year 2025. Additionally, Sumitomo Riko has been certified as a "Silver Partner" by TABLE FOR TWO since fiscal year 2024 and received a letter of appreciation for its support in fiscal year 2025.

Chocolate and Coffee Fundraising Campaigns
The "Chocolate Fundraising Campaign" is a winter-only initiative organized by JIM-NET (Japan Iraq Medical Network). The Sumitomo Riko "Attaka Club" has been participating in this activity since 2016, marking its 10th year this year. Additionally, starting in the 2024 fiscal year, the club has also begun participating in the "Coffee for Peace!" campaign. Proceeds from these fundraisers support activities such as medical aid for children with cancer in Iraq, the operation of the JIM-NET House (a comprehensive support facility for children with cancer), assistance for Syrian refugees, and health screenings designed to protect children in Fukushima from radiation exposure.
Sponsorship Donation to Felissimo’s “HAPPY CAPS PROJECT”
Sumitomo Riko supports the objectives of the "HAPPY CAPS PROJECT" organized by Felissimo Corporation and has made a sponsorship donation to the initiative. This project makes participating in social contribution efforts more accessible by allowing participants to select a cause to support from among eight social issues; in addition to making a donation, participants themselves receive a gift. We hope that this sponsorship will help expand the circle of support, and we remain committed to continuously backing initiatives aimed at resolving social issues.
Marathon Volunteer
Ten Sumitomo Riko employees participated as volunteers in the "Marathon Festival Nagoya-Aichi 2026," held on March 8, 2026. While approximately 28,000 runners gathered for the event and raced through the streets of Nagoya, each with their own personal aspirations, the employees supported the event's operations by serving as course management volunteers at the 14.5 km mark.
Donation of Goods
We started collecting used books, CDs, DVDs, etc. from our employees and donating them to the “Continuous Employment Support Type A Business: Honno Kimochi (It’s just something small) in February 2025. In addition to providing employment support through the sorting of donated items, the entire selling amount is donated to the “Japan Committee for Vaccines for the World's Children, an authorized NPO,” thereby contributing to vaccine support for children around the world.
"Delivering Picture Books" Initiative
In the 2025 fiscal year, we participated for the first time in the "Delivering Picture Books" initiative organized by the Shanti Volunteer Association. Twenty-five employees took part in the project, working together to create translated picture books while also deepening internal connections. The activity provided an opportunity to learn about the realities faced by children who have lost access to education due to conflict or poverty. Participants shared their thoughts, noting that “they felt a genuine sense of having helped children in Asia” and “experienced a heartwarming feeling after completing the project.”

Volunteer Leave and Leave-of-absence System
Sumitomo Riko established a volunteer leave and leave-of-absence system in 1999, in which employees can take up to 3 days volunteer leave and up to 3 years as a leave of absence.
The aim is to contribute to social and cultural development through volunteer activities, establish an appealing corporate culture, and foster employees' civic-mindedness, social awareness, and cultural sensibilities, thereby helping to cultivate exemplary professionals.
